About Slave Trade Abolition in Cambridgeshire & Suffolk (STACS)

The STACS project was part of a national programme of education events and activities marking the 200th anniversary of the 1807 Abolition of the Slave Trade Act. With the work of abolitionists locally, nationally and internationally as an overarching theme, our year-long project focused on the roles played by Thomas Clarkson and Olaudah Equiano.
The project took three forms;
